MudTools Blue Workhorse MudSponge

A CLOSER LOOK

Read the details.

MudTools' Blue Workhorse MudSponge is the selected all-purpose version of the brand's shaped pottery sponge. The source describes an open-cell construction and a kidney-rib outline for hand use around clay. It is supplied compressed and described as expanding when first wetted. The selected pack contains one blue sponge rather than a mixed pack with the White Finishing or Orange Absorbent versions, which have separately documented roles.

The Workhorse description is a source-supported role for this exact variant, not a conclusion drawn simply from its color. Claims about high absorbency and lasting use are not independent measurements or durability tests. The listing's length and width do not clarify its repeated thickness value or whether every dimension applies before or after expansion, so a full exact size is not promoted here. Environmental wording and natural-pigment language also do not establish a separate certification or material composition test.

Choose this version when you want to compare a general working sponge rather than a specifically fine-finishing selection. Follow the current preparation and cleaning directions, then evaluate the contact with your own clay and workflow. A rib-shaped outline does not guarantee comfort for every hand, and open-cell wording does not prescribe an optimal moisture level. The source does not establish a universal non-abrasive result or a guaranteed number of uses.
