MudTools Shape 3 Medium Wide Polymer Rib

A CLOSER LOOK

Read the details.

MudTools' selected G3 is the Medium polymer version of Shape 3. The title and main description identify a five-inch-wide profile, with the structured dimensions supporting that broad measurement. The selected variant and grade information explicitly establish Medium, so firmness is not guessed from the green color. Its wider outline is a practical distinction from a compact kidney or a specialized rim profile when comparing available contact areas.

Assess both width and contour against the forms you want to work with. A broad rib can have a different contact geometry from a small bowl rib without being universally better or requiring less effort in every situation. Keep the G3 identity with the tool if several Shape 3 grades are stored together. A similar color on another shape does not establish the same dimensions, while a shared shape number in another grade does not establish the same flex.

The maker's Medium classification is relative rather than a numerical hardness or pressure rating. Claims about sweeping strokes, tactile feedback, resistance to wear and a smoother edge are not independent performance tests here. No universal clay-stage suitability, required pressure or technique recipe is provided. The stated width is a tool-profile dimension, not a promise that it follows every bowl or platter radius. Other grades mentioned in the source are separate choices rather than additional supplied ribs.
