Fit & limits

Overall reach and clamp clearance are not verified; a similar-looking gauge is not automatically the same model.

Nominal dimensions alone do not establish wheel, pin, insert or container fit.

A CLOSER LOOK

Read the details.

Prohalo's selected pottery gauge combines a wooden structure with two adjustable reference arms and a clamping arrangement. The source describes positioning the pointers to repeat chosen dimensions while working on several forms. This is a passive reference tool rather than a motor, a digital measuring instrument or a machine that automatically controls the shape. A pottery wheel or bench shown with the gauge demonstrates a mounting context and is not supplied equipment.

The source's very small overall dimensional entry does not provide a dependable arm-reach or mounting-clearance specification. No exact useful measuring span, graduation or clamp-opening limit is therefore promoted as verified. A photograph that resembles another dual-arm gauge does not prove the same model or interchangeable hardware. The advertised ability to mount on a wheel edge or workbench also does not establish a fit with every lip, thickness, guard or workspace arrangement.

Choose the gauge after comparing its actual mounting hardware and pointer movement with the place you intend to use it. Follow the current fitting and adjustment instructions rather than relying on broad consistency claims. Reference pointers can help compare positions, but do not guarantee identical pottery, prevent every accidental contact or calculate clay shrinkage. Evaluate the required reach and setup separately from the appearance or number of arms.
